Hi folks, I had the pleasure of taking part of Scott Harrisons, from Charity:Water, book launch Thirst. It is one of the few Charities Carolyn and I support and give our time freely. We love shooting their events and were so honored to be a part of the launch.
We are always impressed by the organization, the cause and the impact they are having. I hope I captured some of the joy I felt being with this group. Such a great organization based in New York, NY who’s mission is to: bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries.
663 million people live without clean water. That’s nearly 1 in 10 people worldwide, or, twice the population of the United States without access to life’s most basic human need. The majority live in isolated rural areas and spend hours every day walking to collect water for their family. Not only does walking for water keep kids out of school and take up time that parents could be using to earn money, but the water often carries diseases that make them sick.
The thing that makes Charity:Water so unique is that every penny you donate goes to the cause due to Private donors covering their operating costs. So 100% of your money can fund water projects.
